依靠微薄的思考去判断。

隨想，《Sell Out!》

昨天在jusco cheras selatan看了一部電影...
過後一个陌生人很意外地驾临城堡，
建议我用中文写一些review....
我也想介绍给身边的人...
这一部电影

没有写过什么电影review，只是几份History of Art & Design的assignment...
几份Stephen要求我们写的Review....

这部电影，是在Astro的广告上得知的⋯⋯
首先是那首歌吸引了我，《You're not my type》
嗯⋯⋯ 一部本地电影，刚开始对它不太有信心⋯⋯

过后，Hannah在线上跟我提起，
接着，搜刮了Youtube，找到了Trailer⋯⋯
爬一爬电影大纲，就决定要去支持这一部作品。

回顾故事内容，这部电影里面，让人思考了很多。
虽说是喜剧，却带讽刺加批评，但也帶出了马来西亚的味道。
告诉你，喜欢动作，文艺，科幻电影的人，
别抱太多希望在这部电影上，因为这部电影什么都没有，
没有华丽的背景，没有眩目的特技，没有迷人的偶像，没有催泪的剧情。
有的只是我们每个人的背景，我们每个人所拥有的生活。
只有我们最熟悉的马来西亚。

亲切的旧茶室，冷饮料冰柜，老婆婆的被单，喜宴大厅，喜酒模式。
邊看電影，邊喊著
“Ei! 那張被單和我家的一模一樣！”
看到店員不收破掉的紙幣，
“對對對！我們不就是這樣嗎？”
看到大老闆批評員工的British accent是爛英文
“嗯⋯⋯馬來西亞人⋯⋯”
看到打錯電話的人，否認打錯電話，不肯罷休
“哈！我家就常常接到這種電話，有時還會反問我是誰”

切切實實地反映了我們的生活。
我們笑，因為我們了解，我們知道。
我們笑，因為我們身在其中⋯⋯

我們在嘲笑自己從中學畢業后，到入土化成灰的那一天。
都不會把cos sin tan用在生活上。
我也從不明白，它是怎麼用在哪的。
除了加減乘除之外，沒有那一個Formula是被應用的...

我們嘲笑，
马来西亚人，具有后天语言自由恐惧症。
舌头上植了个晶片，敏感话题不能说。
深信身后一定会有个监视器，“不要乱说，会被抓的”

马来西亚人，就是失去了一種Original的態度。
我們甚麼都有，有很漂亮的獅頭金字塔，有日本村，法國村。
有外國租回來的“大馬眼”，日本人設計的KLIA，
引以為傲的KLCC也是從阿根廷設計师買回來的，請外勞建起來的。
我們還有Proton! 零件不是外國買回來的嗎？
馬來西亞人，絕對是一個精明的消費者，
卻需要學習成為一個創意的創造者。

戲中的Rafflesia Pong，有個"Christian Name"
卻不是個Christian，For easy remember？
是遷就，還是跟風⋯⋯ ？


我的思考開始混亂了⋯⋯
像上Culture&Society的課一樣混亂，很多問題出現在腦子裡，
答案卻有上百萬個⋯⋯

最後，我所領悟到的
領悟到的馬來西亞，就是Dreamer Eric Tan VS Practical Eric Tan
如果給你選擇，把自己分成兩個，一個是夢想家，一個是實踐家。
你願意擁有一個偉大夢想卻不懂得實踐的人，
還是一個會不停的工作遷就卻沒有夢想目標的人？


答案如我所料
Most of the Malaysian Voted Dreamer Eric to die⋯⋯
夢想似乎在我們心中佔了很少的地位，
或許有，但似乎有人會告訴我們
“別發夢了！夢想不能當飯吃”
“只要做好老闆要你做的事就能保住飯碗了！”


Eric Tan，為了保住自己的工作，
把像自己的孩子般的發明，改成上司想要的“賺錢工具”
試圖安裝“Auto-Break down system"之類的系統。
這是現實社會裡，保住工作的正確態度。這就是現實。
不知不覺中，慢慢地把自己賣給了現實。

當你不斷地工作地時候
不斷地為現實改變時
是不是該適時地回一回頭看
自己的夢想還在不在


千萬
別把自己給賣掉

以上的一切，都是小小的感觸加意見，
Yeo Joon Han 絕對是一個很棒的導演，
他把生活帶進了電影院，

Sell Out

I watched 《Sell Out!》today..
After I came home, I google search on Yeo Joon Han's production..
After some time, It had link me to something familiar...
That Mark had mention it on his lecture...
Da Huang Pictures, Tan Chui Mui and other Malaysian Director...
or maybe Video Maker? Or Image Maker...
Bringing back Malaysia image to Malaysian...

I have read some of the reviews of the movie..
I don't really good in giving comments...
But what I can tell is I love this Film and the musical..
This movie is great...
I want to own the soundtrack~ and maybe a DVD of the film?

hmm... I love the reflection of Malaysian in this film?
Ugly or Beauty... Clever or Retarded... Right or wrong.. =)
Original is not a sin.. =) Stop copying..
Mediocrity VS Innovation
Mediocrity always win.. in malaysia
Malaysian authorities ALWAYS prefer mediocrity to innovation.
as Malaysian voted DREAMER to die..
it's because Dreamer can't make money?
Practice come first or dream come first...?


Great Film that drop me to THINK...
But i wonder why there are only 4 in the cinema..
Mind needs changes...

Semester 3 Result~

today i woke up at 11 30am... so much earlier than usual... =)
because I slept at 3am yesterday... sound late huh? nope...
my besties know why... =D

after my lunch, i prepared myself to go out..
because Yee Hong have ask few of us out for movie..
thank you for the fetch to Station Tasik Selatan to my special one..=)

I was late.. But just on time for the movie...
The presence of Jyson is quite unexpected..
Movie time just 4 of us.. Yee Hong, Gene, Jyson and I...
"Make it happen"... not bad... i like Mary Elizabeth Winstead =)
